Stuart writes about the autopsy of a man who had a biliary duct obstruction and a distended gallbladder, discussed by Claude Amyand in another paper in this issue of Philosophical Transactions (see CLP/12ii/72). Stuart discusses the man's symptoms and reasons for this obstruction.
