Extract from the 'Journal Literaire' [Journal littéraire de La Haye] published in January and February 1714, including observations by Muys from Franequer [Franeker, Friesland, Netherlands]. Muys writes about his experiments to discover the structure of muscular fibres and tendons and the way in which arteries pass through them.

Subject: Anatomy

Published in Philosophical Transactions as 'An extract from the Journal Literaire, publish'd at the Hague, for the months of January and February, 1714. Pag. 238. being, an account of several observations concerning the frame and texture of the muscles'.

Read to the Royal Society on 29 April 1714.
