Description

Translation of a paper originally published in French by Jean Pecquet in the Journal des sçavans in 1672 regarding communication between the thoracic duct and the inferior vena cava. The paper was published in Philosophical Transactions alongside annotations by Walter Needham, although his annotations are not present in this manuscript.

Subject: Physiology

Published in Philosophical Transactions as 'Some annotations of the learned Dr. Walter Needham upon a discovery pretended to have bean made by the famous Monsieur Pecquet of a communication between the ductus thoracicus and the inferior vena cava'.

Read to the Royal Society on 14 March 1672.
