Description

Grew provides observations of different types of organic materials, including from animals (shells, bones, horn), vegetables (roots, woods, seeds), and minerals (earths, stones, metals). He describes whether or not these materials combined make mixtures, with details of the nature of any resulting substances, such as effervescence. Grew also describes the topics that should be considered when compiling a natural history of a country.
