Description
List of botanical specimens by Isaac Rand. The Company of Apothecaries of London had established a physic garden in 1673. Sloane had granted them part of his estate and manor of Chelsea on condition that it would be kept by the Company as a physic garden. As evidence of this, the Company were asked to present 50 specimens of plants annually which had been grown there in the previous year.

Read to the Royal Society on 18 June 1724.
