Description
Brande recounts experiments carried out alongisde [Everard] Home on the contents of the cardiac portion of the stomach, intended to control the production of uric acid and therefore reduce the likelihood of urinary calculi. Brande provides four case studies of patients suffering from calculi and provides analyses of their urine. Corrections and annotations appear in ink throughout.
