Description

Vernon presents experimental observations regarding the chemical constitution of protoplasm. He describes the onset of the disintegration processes, the effect of sodium fluoride on the disintegrative process, the effect of ether and chloroform, the effect of lactic acid, the differential reactions of disintegrating tissues to stimuli and the adaptation to environment shown by disintegrating tissues.
