Description

Robertson aims to determine, under the conditions of pressure obtaining in a gun, the constants of explosion of cordite and of modified cordite, with special reference to the effects produced by the non­explosive ingredients, mineral jelly and acetone.

Includes five diagrams and two photographs of experimental apparatus.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 79 of the Proceedings of the Royal Society A as 'Constants of explosion of cordite and of modified cordite'.
