Reference number: AP/66/15

Date: 1889

Description

Sankey observes during the course of his experiments on the electrolytic deposition of copper that the resistance of the electrolytic cells employed is greater the lower the current density, and the experiments described in this paper are undertaken to inquire more definitely into the matter.

Annotations in pencil throughout. Includes three figures of Sankey's experimental apparatus and a series of tables and graphs.

Subject: Electricity

Received 21 March 1889. Read 4 April 1889. Communicated by W H [William Henry] Preece.
