Lockwood traces the history of the development of the pericardium, diaphragm, and great veins by means of rabbit embryos ranging from the eighth to the 17th day of intrauterine life.

Annotations in pencil and ink throughout. Marked on front as 'Keep in archives - this is first edition'.
