Description

Chree writes on experiments regarding elastic solids 'which are not isotropic', with the object of obtaining solutions of the internal equations in ascending integral powers of the variables, and applying them to problems of a practical kind.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 44 of the Proceedings of the Royal Society as 'On Æolotropic elastic solids'.
