Description

Roberts notices differences between the duplicate photographic plates in his star chart for the Northern Hemisphere, for which he suggests three possible causes: the duration of exposure; the varying sensitivity of the film; and the hygrometric states of the atmosphere. In this paper he focuses on the differences caused by various exposures.

Annotations in pencil and ink throughout. With two photographs titled 'Star Photography: Polaris and Trapezium Orion'.
