Andrews presents a brief overview of existing research into reversals of the electromotive force between platinum and other metals in fused salts before sharing his own experimental observations and results.

Annotations in pencil and ink throughout. Includes two diagrams of Andrews' experimental equipment in the text.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 38 of the Proceedings of the Royal Society as 'Observations on variations of the electromotive force between metals at high temperatures in fused salts'.
