Unpublished letter, regarding cohesion and capillarity from Richard Morris to [William] Sharpey
Reference number: AP/53/7
Date: 31 May 1871

Description
Morris describes his plans regarding cohesion and capillarity 'with the single view of bringing certain physiological phenomena from the region of the vague and mysterious into that of the comprehensible.' He aims to show 'that the passage of the [blood] corpuscles through the walls of the vessels without the distension of any previously existing apertures or the permanent solution of the continuity of the vessel walls was a fact, the parallel of which could be found among purely physical phenomena.'
Includes three pages of figures.
