Matthiessen presents experimental data relating to research published in Philosophical Transactions (see PT/60/10). He presents a table of experimental results on the electric conducting power of alloys. Marked on front 'Not for print' and 'Archives to be preserved G G S [George Gabriel Stokes]'.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 10 of the Proceedings of the Royal Society as 'On the electric conducting power of alloys'.
