Description

Kirkman writes on 'the complete resolution of the problem of the polyedra', presenting a classification of polyedra as to symmetry, which includes zoned symmetry, zoneless axial symmetry, mixed symmetry, neuter symmetry and asymmetrical. He goes on to explain this classification.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 10 of the Proceedings of the Royal Society as 'On the theory of the polyedra'.
