Contains 21 papers submitted to the Royal Society but not published at the time of receipt. The papers are arranged alphabetically by author and cover the period of 1762-1780 [spine reads 1768-80]. Includes an index at the beginning of the volume.

Two papers were published in the form in which they appear in this volume:
'An essay, towards elucidating the history of the sea-anemonies' by Jacques-François Dicquemare [fragment only]; and
'Of the electric property of the torpedo' by John Walsh.
