Description

Hofmann writes that 'the facility with which the phosphorus-bases can be obtained by the action of zincethyl [zinc ethyl] upon terchloride of phosphorus [phosphorus trichloride], has induced me to study the action of this agent upon the terchlorides of arsenic and antimony'. He briefly presents the results of his experiments into this.
