Lee examines existing literature on the ganglia and nerves of the heart and shares his own observations on the dissection of a foetal heart, the heart of a child of nine years of age, and adult human hearts in healthy and hypertrophied states.

Marked on front as 'cancelled by recommendation of the referees' and '40 drawings accompanied this paper'.
