Description

Ager sets out to explain a method of resolving numerical equations with real coefficients. He explains that his method is 'perfectly independent of every other mode of proceeding, requiring no previous investigation of the magnitude or nature of the roots, which are all simultaneously developed by the process itself'.

Annotations in ink throughout. Marked on front as 'Archives 22 May 1845'.
