Description

Ofterdinger writes on the history of physiology and anatomy, calling upon the research, observations and experiments of Marcello Malpighi, Frederik Ruysch, and Erasistratus. He explains how blood is pumped through the body to the organs by the heart, and how blood transports oxygen to the organs. He discusses the relationship between veins and arteries. He goes on to discuss the appearance of parenchyma.
