Description

Kelly identifies the circumstances which influence the formation of low fogs, and observes similarities between the causes that produce fogs and those that produce clouds. He suggests that fogs and clouds are differentiated by their positions in the atmosphere. Annotated in pencil and ink throughout.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 3 of Abstracts of the Papers Printed in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London [later Proceedings of the Royal Society] as 'On low fogs and stationary clouds'.
