Description

Reade presents barometer and thermometer readings covering the period 1 January 1829 to 31 December 1832. The data is displayed in tables with headings day, wind, bar, thermometer (9am, midday, 6pm) and remarks.

Whilst the Royal Society declined to publish this paper in full, an abstract of the paper was published in volume 3 of Abstracts of the Papers Printed in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London [later Proceedings of the Royal Society] as 'Register of the state of the barometer and thermometer kept at Tunis, during the Years 1829, 1830, 1831 and 1832'.
