Description

Crawford critiques existing theories relating to the phenomena of both healthy and diseased human bodies, arguing that this cannot be explained exclusively through the materials that make up the body, an unknown principle of life, physical and chemical agents, or functions of the nervous and vascular systems. He does not provide a new theory, but rather states that all these matters should be taken into account and weighted according to their importance.
