Description

Powell reports on experiments inspired by the work of Dr [William Hyde] Wollaston. Powell observed sunlight on a cloudy day as well as a flame through a prism of flint glass, finding more lines than those reported by Wollaston.

An ink inscription at top of first page reads 'To be returned to the author if required'.
