Description

Fallows writes on a method of ascertaining the difference of longitude between terrestrial meridians using transit observations of the moon and surrounding stars. Fallows includes mathematical equations to illustrate the method of calculation. Includes tables of observations and calculations taken from 13 November 1823 to 2 December 1824.

Corrections, annotations, deletions, and marginalia appear throughout in ink and graphite.
