Description

Letter received by the Royal Society as a result of a statement, titled 'A Curious Fact' (see AP/10 for description). This is a follow-up to a previous communication from Newbold regarding the Society's problem, detailing a further experiment conducted by Newbold through which he deduces that a vacuum is created, causing the cards to stay together. Includes two sets of illustrations in the text.
