Description

Letter from Gilbert to Coombe, responding to a letter (AP/10/48) from Coombe received by the Royal Society as a result of a statement, titled 'A Curious Fact' (see AP/10 for description). Gilbert explains that he received Coombe's communications, but that the problem in 'A Curious Fact' was never discussed by the Royal Society and the solution is published in the Journal of the Royal Institution.
