Description

Letter received by the Royal Society as a result of a statement, titled 'A Curious Fact' (see AP/10 for description). Coombe refers to his previous paper on the subject (AP/10/34) and seeks to ensure that the Society sees the difference between his response to the problem and other similar proposed solutions published in various papers.

Written by Coombe in Edinburgh [Scotland]. A faint graphite address below Davies Gilbert's name on final page verso reads '27 Gower St Bedford Square'.
