Description
The second of two volumes containing the manuscript versions of papers published by the Royal Society in volume 143 of Philosophical Transactions in 1853. A note at the beginning of the volume indicates that paper XIII is missing. This volume comprises papers XI-XIX.
Also includes some original illustrations and figures in drawn in ink in support of the papers.
Missing from this volume is the manuscript for the following paper:
'On certain functions of the spinal chord, with further investigations into its structure' by Jacob Augustus Lockhart Clarke.
