Jones describes the design and construction of his improvement on a hygrometer, improving the ease and accuracy with which measurements of the temperature of condensation can be taken.

An ink inscription top of first page reads 'JFWH [John Frederick William Herschel]. No 59. Two written leaves & a drawing'. [No drawing present.]
