Derham informs the Royal Society that Monsieur de la Hire has wrongly attributed Monsieur Picard, instead of Mr Gascoigne, of first applying telescopic sights to mathematical instruments in his article. He says that he will send on Gascoigne's papers so that they can be published in 'Philosophical Transactions'.
