Paper reference code: B.39 States that Schmitt's paper looks ingenious, but Adam is sure that Hill will be able to judge the work better, given the parallels with his own research. His main concern is that much of the paper his seems very speculative, with no experimental evidence to back up the theories presented. Adam is 'doubtful whether, in its present optimistic and indefinite form, the latter part of the paper ought to be published'. [Not published]. Received 1 July 1938
